1st Quarter of Senior Bowl
The commentators are MUCH too critical towards the quarterbacks.
TItus Young dropped a pass. I don’t think I’ve seen that happen before.
Jake Locker has been terrible.
that Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller is living up to the hype.
That receiver from Miami, Leonard Hankerson (thanks, mssnglnk), is looking like the MVP of this game.
Senior Bowl
The Senior Bowl is just about to start. The guy I’ll be watching closely today: Andy Dalton. He’s looked good at practice this week, but I’m ready to see what he does against some of the best guys entering the Draft.

Rare Basketball Post
Louisville downed UCONN this afternoon. If I had my pick to go to any school in the South, I would have gone to Louisville. Such a crazy game too. Double overtime and all. I like the UCONN men’s team quite a bit, but Louisville is my favorite besides Vanderbilt.
Who is returning the most starters next year?
secfootball:
Vanderbilt with 21 returning!
Auburn is last in the nation with only 7 returning.
There’s hope!
collegefootballinsight asked: Boise will only have 2 CONFERENCE games on the road. And that is why I am wondering what will help with the rest of their schedule. That would give them a total of 4 away games. The MWC needs to adjust another game so that Boise has one more away game. And that will cause them to adjust that teams schedule and so on and so on. Just another reason why I think it was a bad idea.

Anonymous asked: Thought I might help clear up the BSU/TCU mess. They would have more than two away games for sure. Boise State plays Georgia "away" (Yes it's at a "neutral site" even thought its in Atlanta, but its not at home, so I'll consider it away), then they play at Toledo, at Fresno State, at UNLV, at Colorado State, and then since they moved TCU to a home game, the San Diego...
Additional thoughts to this Boise/TCU mess
Since when has TCU proved themselves on the road? This could be a huge opportunity for them. Yes, they beat Utah at home to end their streak, but that was highly, highly overrated Utah. They have a chance to end Boise’s home steak now as a slap in the face to the Mountain West. I don’t care if the game is at Ft. Worth, Boise, Pasadena, Arizona, or anywhere. Let’s just play out...

The Mountain West showdown between Boise State and TCU was originally scheduled to be played in Fort Worth. However, the conference executives decided to move it to Boise, in hopes that the Broncos win, thus helping the cause for the MWC to be an AQ. Personally, I would have loved to have a chance to steal a win in Texas, and I figured TCU fans would feel the same way about the current situation....

QBs that the Titans should consider
Bud Adams wants immediate improvement. He’s not going to get that by taking a qb in the first round. It’s just not a good year for quarterbacks. I think they should get a veteran, or at least a guy who has a year or two of experience (Kevin Kolb, Carson Palmer). But, the fans are pressing hard for them to get a qb in the draft, so here’s an ordered list of qbs Tennessee should...

New RTG on NCAA 11
I started a new “Road to Glory” quarterback in NCAA 11 today and I went to Boise State. Good news is, I’m 2nd string. The bad news is that I’m 200 points behind Kellen Moore. So, it’ll take me a good half of the season before I can play a game probably. Oh well. At least I’m playing for my team.
Opinion?
collegefootballinsightstop25:
When creating a list of Top 25 that is a countdown so to speak, such as Top QB’s or Top coaches, should I start the list at 25 and work down to 1 so the list is unveiled as you read? Or, go from 1-25 so that readers can just read the list?
Going straight from #1 to #25 would be more effective I think. You want to get your point across as quickly as possible when...
Another Rare NFL post
My favorite team is in action, trying to get to the Super Bowl. The greatest rivalry in NFL history is renewed. My prediction… This is going to be a hard-nosed, dirty, physical contest. It’s going to be low scoring and highly emotional. Never has the rivalry meant as much as it does today.

Cam Newton in the NFL
Pros:
good arm strength
great mobility
football intelligence (he played in three different systems in college)
He can handle the spotlight
Cons:
He relies too much on his mobility at times
Might not be as accurate as the NFL would want him to be
could potentially cause distractions off the field
He’s got a great arm; there’s no doubt about it. He’s known as a...

Blaine Gabbert
Mel Kiper Jr. has Blaine Gabbert, quarterback from Missouri, fifth on his board, going to the Cardinals. I can honestly say that I didn’t even know who he was. I only watched Missouri play against Oklahoma. Is he really that good, or will he be another Matt Leinart (without the Heisman and whatnot)?
Have we taught Lebron how to spell yet?
I corrected him yesterday. He used “is” instead of “are.” I told him, but he didn’t reply. I guess he was busy.

Jay Cutler (part II) *edit*
Also, if I’m not mistaken, Jay Cutler is the only quarterback to START a playoff game from that Draft Class (2006). The Titans have been to the playoffs twice with Vince Young, but of those two games, he didn’t start one of them, and I couldn’t find any stats on the other one other than the result. Anybody know if he played (‘07 playoffs vs. Chargers)?

Congrats to Jay Cutler
Though he now plays for a rival team, Jay Cutler became the first quarterback taken from the 2006 NFL Draft to win a playoff game (over: Vince Young, Matt Lienart, Kellen Clemmens, Tarvaris Jackson, Charlie Whitehurst, Brodie Croyle, and Bruce Gradikowski). The quarterbacks of that year were to supposed to revolutionize the game. Now owners are just more cautious about drafting qbs.

Anyone else watching the Steelers/Ravens game?
This game is almost too messy to watch, but I guess there’s been a lot of excitement. That fumble play better be on the Not Top 10 next Friday. C’mon, now. Play to the whistle.
Wait.
Offensive holding is a 10 yard penalty, right? But defensive holding is only 5? Yet, pass interference is worth 15 yards (depending on the spot of the foul either way)? That’s strange.

collegefootballinsight asked: I love NCAA 11, my brother and I have an ongoing online dynasty. Some years there are a lot of undefeateds, and others one of us is the only undefeated. One year I actually took a 1 loss C-USA team to the championship. Only on a video game could that ever happen, haha.

a report about the success of Boise State and the blue turf
Boise's out of conference games
Next year Boise will be playing these schools out of conference:
Georgia (in the Georgia Dome)
@ Toledo
Tulsa
Nevada
@ Fresno State
Not bad, considering all these schools went to a bowl game this year (also note that three of them are away games). Still, Georgia is the only AQ team on the schedule. They also made a home-and-home deal with Washington for the 2013 and 2015 season.

Michigan Finds their Michigan Man
Brady Hoke will be the new head coach of the Wolverines. Hoke has spent the past several seasons at San Diego State University. Hoke had a fairly successful year at SDSU. He spent five years at Michigan being their defensive coordinator, and let’s face it, they need a defensive mind there. Hoke also spent some time coaching under Jack Harbaugh.
Chris Peterson Stays
In a news day dominated by the National Championship, Chris Peterson stated he is staying at Boise State for at least two more years. It was reported that Stanford was trying to talk to him about their vacancy at the HC position. Along with that, Peterson also was able to talk Brent Pease into coming back to be the offensive coordinator. Pease was given the same job at the University of Indiana a...
"Crystal Clear Champions"

The most important stat in college football
is your ability to convert your red zone attempts. I think we’ve learned that tonight.

“Dion Lewis is a redshirt sophomore. You can’t leave college as a true sophomore in football”
Okay, thanks for clarifying. I looked at several different sources and only saw “sophomore.” Either way, he’s still not NFL ready if you ask me.
3rd and 8. You throw a screen pass and get negative yardage with less than a minute left in the half. This is NOT the Oregon Ducks team I’ve seen this season. Thomas needs to settle down and get his head in the game. He’s the sole reason they are losing.
I knew Auburn couldn't beat Oregon
But that doesn’t mean that Oregon can’t beat Oregon.

Dion Lewis
Pitt’s sophomore running back Dion Lewis is going to enter the NFL draft. Am I the only person who thinks it’s ridiculous that a player can leave after two years? I could understand Andrew Luck, a sophomore redshirt, but a true sophomore is just way too early.

Why I think Oregon will win
It’s all about the pace of the game. Auburn has had to come from behind in all of their key victories. Their opponents have worn out. They can’t get by with that tonight. When every other team in the nation is wearing out, Oregon is just getting comfortable. I think Auburn will underestimate the passing attack of Thomas as well. I think this is one of the more even match-ups in recent...
